Steak Dinner Take II

Due to the size of the steaks we had the other night we just split one. That means we had one, big, delicious strip steak to go. We also had some french bread and a tub of boursin cheese. Steak Sandwich!

I love sandwiches. Mike loves sandwiches. My favorite sandwich ever of all time is the BLT on rye. My second favorite is a tie between a PB&J and a tomato sandwich (garden tomato on toasted bread with boursin cheese. Mmm….).

Mike’s favorite is an Italian sub (Minus the tomato. He also requests no T on his BLTs – what a weirdo!).

And when he was a kid it appears he enjoyed plain, old bologna sans bread.

Barton Farms & Gardens Take II Steak Sandwich

Leftover steak, heated up juuust a smidge (you do not want to overcook it) and sliced thin

French bread, sliced in half longways and then buttered and lightly grilled until just crisp

Boursin cheese (last night we used garlic and herb flavored)

Basil

Red pepper, sliced

After you’ve toasted your buttered bread under the broiled or in a skillet smear it with a good amount of boursin cheese. Layer on your steak, basil, and red pepper. Enjoy!

And then go wash your sandwich hands.
